Faq

My theme/site appears not to be fond of this plugin. It’s not showing correctly.

Here are a number of things that may prevent WP-Cumulus from showing or cause it to show a small message about how it wants the Flash plugin.

Hey, but what about SEO?

I’m not sure how beneficial tag clouds are as it comes to SEO, but solely in justification WP Cumulus outputs the regular tag cloud (and/or categories item) for non-flash users. This earnings that search engines will see the same links. They’re hidden owing to CSS by default, but here’s an options to get on to them noticeable.

I’d be fond of to change something in the Flash movie, will you release the .fla?

As of translation 1.12 the source code is available from wordpress.org under the GPL license. Click “other versions” and get the developer translation.

Some of my tags irregularly hit the sides of the movie and are cropped

If this happens you must change the aspect for the movie to get on to it wider. This can be done by increasing the width, but also by decreasing the height. In cooperation will get on to the movie ‘more landscape’ giving long tags more opportunity.

Some font are not showing up

In view of the fact that of the way Flash handles text, single Latin font are supported in the current translation. This is due to a limitation everywhere in peacefulness to be able to animate text fields smoothly the glyphs need to be embedded in the movie. The Flash movie’s source code is available for download owing to Subversion. Responsibility so will allocate you to make a translation for your language. Here’s a text meadow in the root of the movie that you can use to embed more font. If you change to another font, you’ll need to check over the Tag class as well.

More info here.

As I click on tags, nothing happens.

This is usually caused by a Flash security feature that affects movies served from another meadow as the surrounding page. If your blog ishttp://yourblog.com, but you have http://www.yourblog.com listed as the ‘WordPress address’ under Settings -> General this issue can occur. In this justification you must adjust this setting to contest your blog’s actual URL. If you place of safeguard’t already, I recommend you influence on a single URL for your blog and redirect visitors by other options. This will boost your search engine ranking and in the administer help solve this issue :) .
